39ª Maratona dles Dolomites – Enel: PAX
Looking back in time, you realise how much things have changed. Back in 1987, a group of enterprising local enthusiasts began to believe in a dream: a cycling race that, starting from Alta Badia, would touch the most beautiful passes of the Dolomites. When the first Marathon took place, granfondo was not yet a topic of discussion, a live broadcast on RAI was unimaginable, tourism development did not meet current standards, and these daring individuals would never have dared to hope that the “Maratona dles Dolomites” would become one of the most famous granfondo races in the world, with 8,000 participants from five continents and over 30,000 participation requests every year.
The beauty of the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel lies in being able to ride the passes that have made the history of world cycling without the hassle of cars and motorcycles.
Our goal, together with the whole Alta Badia, is to create special moments of leisure and pleasure under the Dolomites, always respecting our magnificent territory.
